Hong Yip signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Vocational Training Council (VTC) to further strengthen their strategic partnership in training property management talents, in line with the Government’s Vocational Professionals Admission Scheme (VPAS). This collaboration also signifies Hong Yip's commitment to enhancing the professionalism and innovation of the property management industry, contributing to talent development in Hong Kong.
Hong Yip has been maintaining a close relationship with VTC. We offer internship opportunities in various departments to about 100 VTC students each year, helping them to learn and apply theoretical knowledge in practice, unleashing their potential, and getting well equipped for their future career. As property management becomes increasingly professional, it drives greater potential for the industry development in the future. Under this MOU, Hong Yip will provide comprehensive support for non-local students enrolled in the VTC's “Higher Diploma in Real Estate and Property Management” programme, which includes internship training and employment opportunities, thereby enhancing training resources for the property and facilities management industry. The “Higher Diploma in Real Estate and Property Management” is a two-year full-time Higher Diploma programme eligible for the VPAS. This collaboration will support Hong Kong in building a diverse and excellent talent pool.
Hong Yip Chairman and Chief Executive, Mr Alkin Kwong, remarked, “This further deepens our cooperation, strengthens career development and support the cultivation of talent in Hong Kong. We firmly believe that the development of enterprises is inseparable from social support and talent nurturing; supporting education and nurturing talent is not only the company's social responsibility, but also a crucial cornerstone for the future development of both the enterprises and society. Our partnership with the VTC highlights a significant milestone in our joint commitment to 'industry-academia collaboration'."
VTC Academic Director of Business Discipline, Mr James Yap, stated, “Through this collaboration, we hope to provide students with a more diverse learning experience and clear career development pathways. At the same time, we aim to cultivate more property management talents with professional knowledge, practical skills, and 'Building Homes With Heart' core value, injecting new energy into the industry.”
Hong Yip has always adhered to the "people-oriented" principle, actively investing resources in talent training and development. This collaboration leverages VTC's educational advantages to jointly create a professional training environment and cultivate outstanding property management professionals. It also helps attract non-local students to stay in Hong Kong after vocational and professional education to join the local property management industry, strengthening Hong Yip's talent pool in support to the Company's long-term development, and contributing to talent cultivation in Hong Kong.
