Hong Yip has consistently upheld the philosophy “Building Homes with Heart” of its parent company, Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP). Over the years, the Company has been optimizing Sun Hung Kai Centre, SHKP's flagship commercial building completed in 1982, in line with the Group’s commitment to sustainable development. Recently, Sun Hung Kai Centre has once again received LEED Platinum recertification under “v4.1 Operations and Maintenance: Existing Buildings” from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), making it the longest-standing commercial building to maintain a Platinum rating in Hong Kong.

To provide tenants with a better property management service and living experience, Hong Yip has continuously improved its existing quality, environmental protection, occupational health, and safety ISO management systems. Through proactive retro-commissioning and smart system upgrades, the overall operational efficiency of Sun Hung Kai Centre is enhanced. The measures include:

• Replaced ageing air-cooled chillers with new energy-efficient, eco-friendly units.
• Adopted Building Information Modeling Facility Management systems to optimise daily operations and cut idle energy use.
• Deployed IoT sensors throughout the tower for real-time air quality monitoring and proactive management.
• Equipped all air handling units with silver ion filters or nano coatings for cleaner air.
